I would recommend Dr. Staples without question
I had been struggling with getting a hip replacement as well as finding the "right" surgeon since early 2014. My trainer had used Dr. Staples 2 years prior and had nothing but rave reviews on his professional mannerisms. The hip issue became worse and I was fighting the decision to get the surgery. Having visited other doctors and chiropractors they determined the hip replacement was required. The issue I had with these other doctors were their "matter of fact" attitude. Coming to terms with the surgery I decided to look up Dr. Staples and get one more opinion. He too recognized that hip surgery was the optimal solution but his approach was one where we sat down and discussed options, pre, and post-surgery. By the time I left in Sept of 2014, I knew that when it came time for surgery I would be using Dr. Staples. I met again in Dec 2014 set up the date and again we conferred and his reassurance of success and recovery with this anterial approach would reflect positive results. I had the surgery on Monday, Jan 5th, 2015 and was back in the gym doing light workouts that following sat Jan 10th... Of course, I was not fully loading the leg but trust me I had a full range of motion in the leg, yes sore but very functional. I didn't know what to expect never having been through this from a recovery standpoint but without question, his surgical skills proved it's worth 100 fold. For me to be back in the gym 5 days after surgery with a full hip replacement is amazing... In another 2 weeks, it will be 6 weeks and I get the thumbs up from the Doc to continue my full past workout regiment with what I am sure slight modifications to work with the revised hip.
